Samsara: what do users think?

Gal Zigdon: Samsara is a cute little place in the corner. I love the vibe and the music. Unfortunately the food is O-K. Fresh, but not as tasty…(for my taste at least) I also find the prices pretty much expensive. I had the wok, it’s only vegetables… without noodles. It wasn’t satisfying and after few bites it make you tired to eat it… :/ The next day I came back and try the bagel with avocado and omelet. It was satisfying but not as tasty as I thought it will be. Overall the staff are nice, fast and there for you if you have any questions. Thank you, enjoy

Y B: Wow this place was on their mark! The Wok veggies were incredible flavors with the yellow curry sauce. Seriously good food! The chocolate coffee smoothie was very smooth too.

girina koo: My favorite vegetarian restaurant in Guatemala. Food was really fresh and healthy. Ingredient and taste was also good. The food was creative and the decorations were also pretty, so it was fun to watch as well.

Cory Carbone: Lovely place for vegetarian and healthy foods. Great menu with lots of variety on offer from local cuisine to Middle Eastern to Asian. Tried the guacamole heaven salad, which was fresh, tasty, zesty, and refreshing. The carrot and zucchini noodles were likewise spot on. The ambience puts you right at ease with plenty of chill vibes. Service was friendly and great. Fantastic restaurant to grab a bite to eat while walking around Antigua town.

keren cohen: Loved my veggie wok!!! Big portion too. The whole menu was interesting and I would want to taste everything. I’ll definitely come back. Great music and chilled vibes.

Vegan Dad Travels: Came here for early breakfast before leaving for the airport. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Food is tasty and fresh. Wish I had come here soon rather then leaving it till the last day.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Annely: This place seem to be popular and is located on the corner of the street. We had to wait 20 minutes before we got seated although we were only with 3 persons. This vegetarian friendly place felt quite cozy. The people working here were friendly and the food was okay. I didn’t really like the drink as it was a bit too sour for my taste but that could be just a bad choice from my side. Food took quite long before it arrived and wasn’t served warm

Raul Ricano: Our vegetarian friend picked this place for dinner and it was great. The menu has a lot of great choices and I went with the Bagel, accompanied by a glass of organic red wine. Both were absolutely delicious choices :)

Romana Liščáková: We went to Samsara for dinner at first, and then to try their breakfast/brunch. The breakfast was just as perfect as the dinner we had few days earlier! Vegeterian, full of perfect and interesting flavour combinations. Their service is really fast and staff really kind! 5/5 stars!

Freddy Arevalo: Good place to try different styles of pizza under a single menu. Flavor still needs improvement

JC Pinto (Marcopolo): A quiet corner to enjoy home made pasta at its best. Enjoyable antipasto bar served by the pound. A classic spot that has not lost its quality over the years.

Ole Jacob Bangstad: It was almost empty when we came on a Sunday afternoon. Great Italian style pizza, taste excellent and service was great

L De Leon: It was great and food taste really good

Eduardo Palacios: Good service, great deep dish pizza, good affordable prices.

Rony Santis: The dish pizza was not as deep as it was a year ago.

Josue Ramirez-Moir: Good food, a little bit pricey. Great ambient but music is always too loud for talking

Emily Sims: As a celiac, I’ve long loved Wild. Everything is gluten free. But recently they’re started delivering with Uber Eats and I’m so excited. Tried something new but didn’t love their turkey cheeseburger, to be honest. But then recently ordered a mozzarella pizza and chocolate cake and was happy again.

Caro SD: I have been to this restaurant several times and I have never been disappointed with the service and food! The place has high prices but the food is worth it!

Francisco Santos: For Celiac people is a very confident place to eat out gluten free food.

Rhys Lynn: Delicious food and great atmosphere - don’t miss it! The pizza was especially good.

Tabitha Lambert: Very nice and cozy. Pretty quick service. The food is also really good. They have great vegan options and is all gluten free. The pizza and salads are really good.

Nneka Vo: Amazing service.Everything Gluten free!Great chilled vibe.Vegan options available.

Mike M: This is a very rare find. The garden is beautiful and the food is excellent. Top quality everything and as expected this must be reflected in the price. Relax in luxury and feel like you are in a tropical paradise with excellent service. The store offers an amazing selection of cheeses and fine ingredients and more to elevate your cooking. The owner is as friendly as the staff.
Response: thank you, Mike!

adrienne priess: Amazing brunch spot. Great deli but more expensive than usual for the area. Really lovely garden and colonial historical vibes.
Response: thank you, we are glad to hear you enjoyed our space!

Jon Hubbard: Nice looking menu but the food disappointed, quality is not reflected in the price. Ham in the sandwich was not ham but more like a luncheon meat. Fantastic setting, have had much better food at more reasonable prices in Antigua

Gabrielle Martorana: The food is FANTASTIC, and so is the ambiance. I bit on the pricy side, but really nice for a date night.
Response: thank you, Gabrielle!

Amy DeVore: I went there for dinner & their waiter was unfriendly and gave me zero service. He made me wait forever before he came over at all, he never checked up on me throughout the entire meal and I had to go find him for the bill. Thank goodness for the bartender who brought me salt, ranch, a drink refill … I tipped her the extra I would normally tip my server. The gluten free pizza was amazing the first time I visited and the second time, not as great - the sausage looked a little undercooked. It’s an expensive restaurant and their service and food quality should be consistent and top notch for the price.

Renáta Fehérová: We only had coffee and pastry. I had the pecan tart which was a heaven in the mouth and my partner had chocolate croissant, also very tasty!

Cam Fo: Came for dessert based on how amazing their dessert display looked. Did not disappoint one bit. This is one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever had. It’s dense and very chocolatey like I want. It’s paired with a fruity home made ice cream. Just delightful. You can find cheaper but not better.

samuel dean: Wonderful wonderful food. Please try the homemade fetucinni, it was incredible. Very slow service because everything is made fresh. Good options but the descriptions on the menú are bit hard to understand and not super straight forward.Food: 5/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Natalia Gómez: Good food, beautiful place, tables are separated from each other so it makes it nice and private. I had a croque Madame and the Banana, turmeric and goji berries smoothie. So good!

Bradley Cuzen: During my short stay in Antigua, I’ve been here twice. Lots of vegetarian options and healthy drinks. Great service and delicious food!

Julie Mitchell: Excellent find! We brought a group of 30 people and were given a beautiful and private backyard garden area. We all ordered different items and everything was really good. I was looking for a place that had typical Guatemalan food in a nice setting or a goodbye dinner for our group trip. I reached out to the restaurant on WhatsApp and they were very very accommodating (and I gave less than 24 hour notice for a large group). Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.

Adam Popper: Food was very tasty and the setting is amazing. We sat next to birds surrounded by plants. Service was very kind but somewhat slow, and prices were a bit high but fair. We arrived at 11:30 but they wouldn’t let us order from the breakfast/brunch menu which closes at 12. They had high chairs for our niños, which was great for us.

Jean Marie: Saberico has long been a lunchtime favorite for my friends and I️. My first time here was a few years ago with a group of 12, and I️ was hooked! You walk into what looks like it will be a bakery or some type of deli, just to walk back through a still narrow section and you see a small garden area. That small garden area opens to two larger sections and you are perched between the plants in a garden heaven. Unfortunately for us, it seems like the restaurant is going through some changes. They have always had maracas at the tables so you could shake them to get the attention of your server. This go around, the string was still connected to the table but there were no maracas connected to the end. This made it either a disturbance to have to go find out server or we had to wait longer than we should have to ask a question. The food was still delicious, I️ ordered a burger for my first time and enjoyed it. The types of bread with the salads have changed but my friends said they still enjoyed them, even with a bit of a different feel. I️ would highly recommend and if their fruit smoothies with ginger, or the other pairings they offer. Another thing that was very strange this time around were the menus. They used to have a beautiful laminated and bound menu that was in English and Spanish, this time we were handed printed pages that were dirty, only in Spanish, and thrown onto a clipboard. I️ truly hope they are in transition to a new, and improved menu.

CARA KYND YOGA: A nice breakfast, the gluten free waffles were lovely! Such a beautiful environment in the garden!

Haresh Joshi: This is a hidden gem. From the front it just looks like any other restaurant but go to the back and the place unfolds its charm with beautifully curated gardens with fruit bearing trees and chirping birds. They use the best ingredients and have of GF/Vegan options as well. At the front they have lots of sandwiches and snacks to grab and go. They also sell locally sourced high quality condiments, dried fruit, chocolates and teas among other things. The staff is really pleasant to talk to and is very helpful. I love love love love love this place.

Las Antorchas: what do users think?

Allie Ashman: For our last night in Antigua we wanted to have a nice dinner. Las Antorchas surely measured up to task AND THEN SOME! We had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We arrived a bit close to closing time, however the staff was super accommodating and helpful. They recommended some of the best menu items and never once made us feel rushed! The food was amazing. We never once had a bad meal in Antigua, but this was still in the top of them! To start we had the calamari. It was seasoned to perfection and was not rubbery (which is easy to do when cooking it). Then for the main course we had the Orange Salmon and the Pasta Gorbachov. Both were so flavorful and rich! We also loved how they put a rambutan half on every plate, it was a nice touch. Honestly it was quite a lovely dinner. I would highly recommend it, even on a busy night!

Rae Joseph: This spot offers tasty options at a reasonable price for tourists. We ordered a platter for 2 but it was large enough for 3-4 people to eat from it. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is beautiful.

Heather Dubon: The meal here was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and the parrilla flavor went all the way through. Maybe it was the walking all around town all day but the vegetables also tasted just more. The only downside was the service at the end of the meal was very slow. They were busy but we waited about 20 minutes for the check.

Joshua: Food was delicious, the service excellent and the price quite reasonable. By far the best restaurant we visited in Antigua. Give it a try.

Carlos De La Riva: I loved Las Antorchas so much I came back multiple times during my trip to Antigua. The menu is reasonably priced and very affordable. There are plenty of food options: from steak to pasta to burgers and seafood. They also offer gluten free options for pasta and pizza, which I loved and found hard to find around antigua. The service is equally as good as the food! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Daniel Harris: Stumbled onto this gem while walking by on a Tuesday night for dinner around 9pm with friends. So good! Steak skewers, salmon tartar, grilled octopus, rum soaked plantains for desert. Every bite a joy. Marisol took great care of us.

Rits M: This place is all kinds of amazing. The chef an owner is a Swiss guy am came to talk to us and share his experience working in Guatemala. He helped us with our order as well since we were struggling with Spanish. His food is absolutely incredible and I highly recommend the meat platter which is enough for three people. It is excellently prepared and extremely tasty and comes with guac and beans and rice. The space is a lovely patio like appearance, it’s outdoors so you can enjoy the sunshine and they also have a large indoor space. I highly recommend this place for their excellent meats

Tanja Swinkels: One of the best vegan restaurants in Guatemala! There is so much delicious food to choose from. And vegan empanadas! (Haven’t come across any of these in all of CA). We were with five and all really enjoyed our meal. The warm dishes were even more special and delicious than the cold ones (bowls). The service was excellent and fast too. Would surely recommend!

Tom Doble: Really good vegan food options with a wide range of choice. I had the burger which was a build your own style, a choice of patty, sides etc. Would definitely recommend. Priced at the higher end but worth it! Very nice location in amongst other well rated restaurants and cafes!
Response: Thank you 🙏🏽🌱

Eryn Wallace: My friends and I came for dinner during our stay in Antigua and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing (I recommend the tacos with beyond meat) and the service was just as good. They have a wide variety of types of food on their menu and our server was also very kind and helpful :)

Philip Embury: Best vegan restaurant in Antigua set in a beautiful garden with a wide selection of veggie burgers and bowls, try the Azteca! The chef and owner spoke with us and told us about all the organic/local produce that makes the flavors so rich. Will definitely be back.
Response: Thank you Phillip!

Annely: Such a peaceful place. We were seated next to the fountain and had a delicious lunch. I had a healthy vegetable-noodle salad with tempeh and a very cold beer. Everything I wished for in that moment 🙏🏼
Response: Thanks an!!! 🙌🏽🌱

Michael Scanio: This place has amazing plant based food at very reasonable prices for how fresh and healthy it all is. Located in a cool courtyard environment. Highly recommended!

Romana Liščáková: Various vegan options. My burger (quinoa and beans) was a little bit dry, but pesto and mayo sauce made it much better. The sweet potato fries were excelent!

Erik Alvarado: If I could give this place 20 stars, I would. The food is beyond excellent. Fresh and delicious, with very creative recipes. Even if your are not vegan, you will love it! Can’t wait to go back.

Michael McCarter: Top notch vegan food! We wanted to try everything on the menu as it all sounded amazing and the reviews were so good. Thankfully the food didn’t disappoint - the tofu nuggets were crispy and chewy and came with a tangy mustard dip. - The rice paper rolls were fresh, flavoursome and came with a zingy ginger dip. - Grandiosa burger had a soft pretzel bun, crispy bacon slices and chewy seitan patty. It could have had a bit more sauce (but I’m being very picky) - Veggie bowl 2.0 was fresh, colourful and had delicious crispy tempeh cubes on top. Highly recommend if you are in Guatemala City! Note that it only has limited seating.

Michael Osofsky: Lots of vegan options plus other products. This is my favorite street in Guatemala City🇬🇹🏳️‍🌈

Andy Hoffer: I had the no pollo buffalo sandwich with salad and some of the impossible doggo. Both were delicious. The atmosphere is pretty chill and they had a great selection of foods to purchase that were vegan. Looking forward to going back again

Amal Assales: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS BURGER AND I’M NOT EVEN VEGAN!! I can’t even believe how good it tasted and how wonderful the customer service was. I really appreciate that they have a system in place to make it easy and safe for their customers to order during COVID. Maria really went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of!! A wonderful experience and i’ll definitely be ordering again 🥗 🍔😋

abambyh: The reviews speak for themselves... Absolutely delicious vegan options!

Gintarė Klimienė: Amazingly delicious vegan meals! Loved the service, design and area. Highly recommended!

Tracey E: Amazing find! Everything is plant based and tastes wonderful. Best vegan restaurant we have tried in all of our travels! A must try, we had the daily special ceviche, elote corn, the Buffalo burger and king oyster mushroom tacos. Everything was to die for. Only down fall is that we found this place on our last day in Guatemala City. Anyway, if you are vegan… even if you aren’t, this place is a must try!!!

Kei de Vamo’a Viajar (vamoaviajarkei): This place was amazing. Beautiful atmosphere, super attentive crew and all fresh. Their hot chocolate is the best I’ve tasted. I truly enjoyed every visit and I look forward to coming back and eating here. Loved it!!!!

Allie Ashman: The ambiance of Fernando’s was exquisite. I liked the store that led you to the back seating area. They had cute souvenirs and coffee incorporated goods. The back courtyard was quite and cozy, perfect for a little cafe. I had the espresso and although it was not the best espresso I’ve had in Guatemala - it was solid nonetheless.
Response: Thank you!

abambyh: Thank God!! A pizza place in the city with vegan cheese. Every time I’m craving pizza, I usually need to order it without cheese because I can never find a place that carries vegan options. I was thrilled to find this place. It’s in a super cute area with friendly servers. We also ordered their house sangria which was pretty good.
Response: Thank you for your review, we’re glad you enjoyed your visit. Hope to see you soon!

Jenny Rodríguez: Really good, great atmosphere, the pizza was so good, a tiny detail that meant a lot to me was that I asked for the size of the pizza, and in the past days when I asked that in other restaurants, they have told me that has 8 slices or x number, that well could be tiny and cut it in that number of slices (like the joke), have ever here he told me the inches, so from there you know if you need one or more, so was really nice. The taste of the pizza really good, we enjoy a couple sangrias and some beers. Totally recommended.
Response: Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed our food and every detail. You are welcome back anytime. 🔥🍕

Ivo Ruest: Best pizza in town by far. Sourdough starter and amazingly good combinations. Buffalo chicken pizza is the absolute best ever.

IAN Nazir: Delicious food, pizzas were amazing. Service was very good and always ready to help.

Hugo R: Fantastic twist on breakfast! Lots of different omelets, but the classic Chapines are scrambled eggs, beans, chorizo on a tostada. Fantastic! You can also get French toast, pancakes and other American style dishes. They also serve lunch and dinner but the breakfast is great.

William Salazar: They had delicious choices for both breakfast and lunch, not to mention the excellent service. I have to add if you are a coffee lover, they have refill and the taste is amazing. If you have some credit cards like BAC or BAM you can even get some good discounts.

Aileen Arango: This is a nice family restaurant where you can go eat on the weekend. The food is good (could be better) and the service and staff is great. There’s a lot of room so you don’t have to wait for a table. They used to have a Buffet for breakfast/brunch on Sundays now they don’t (sad) it was really good. You can use your credit cards to have a special discount (really helpful). I’m sharing part of the Menu so you can have an idea with food and prices. Aprox. $10-$14 per plate.

Our team works hard to create a unique and memorable dining experience for each guest and we're glad that we were able to do that for you. Response: Samuel! Thank you so much for your kind words! Reading this makes us really happy. We hope to welcome you back soon at Hector's Bistro & Hector's Deli.

Donis Zepeda: They expanded due to their popularity. This is the sad part about being so popular. I remember the small intimate place with amazing food. No longer the same vibe. The beef bourgignon was decent but not like a remember it.
Response: Donis, thank you for your honest feedback on Hector's Bistro. We're sorry to hear that you feel our expansion has impacted the overall dining experience negatively. Our goal is to always maintain the high standards we've set for ourselves and we would like to hear more about the elements of the restaurant left you disappointed.
