David Alonso: Horrible toda la experiencia con esta compañía ya hace un mes que rente un carro, el cual tenía unas condiciones pésimas y además de eso le robaron un espejo en mi estancia en Guatemala, pague 70 dólares de seguro y 650 dólares de depósito, 400 dólares cash y 260 en tarjeta, me dijeron que me iba a a cobrar un deducible de la pie que le robaron al espejo, cuando pague 70 dólares de seguro, la pieza cuesta de 16 dólares a 29 dólares, y aún non comunicado conmigo para decirme nada del depósito que di y mucho menos me lo han devuelto. Lo rente a través de Priceline y ellos tampoco dicen nada, o sea una forma muy sutil de robarle el dinero a los clientes. NUNCA RENTEN EN ESTÁ COMPAÑÍA

Melissa Gravlin: I booked a rental car through Priceline for a fox rent a car in Guatemala. I arrived at the airport and was met by a man that was identifiable as a fox rent a car employee as he was wearing a polo with the logo. We exited the airport and he was standing beside me and next thing I knew he was gone. No explanation. I speak Spanish and he didn’t tell me what was about to happen or what I needed to do. About 10 minutes later (after standing outside the airport as a single 27yo female completely alone in a foreign country), a different man came up beside me and told me to follow him. He led me to a white crossover vehicle that was different than the one I was renting. There was a woman driving it and without explaining to me where they were taking me or what was going on, they began to load my luggage in the vehicle. Again, I speak Spanish and it still took them about 2 minutes to explain where they were taking me and why. Once I get in the vehicle, the woman takes my son and I to some back alley place and hands me a bill that was more than double the amount on my reservation. I had previously paid for insurance through the Priceline reservation and I received a confirmation email that states I would be charged $109 at pick up. The bill she gave me was for $328 and insisted that I had to pay her insurance and 4 other types of taxes. I tried to ask her to explain why I had to buy insurance a second time and she didn’t offer an explanation she just said I had to. I asked what all of the other charges were and she just said they were taxes in Guatemala, no explanation. She was very rude and rather than help me come up with a solution, she stopped answering my questions. Again, it was 11:30 at night, I’m alone in a foreign country as a 27 year old female. I was extremely stressed and frustrated. How is it possible that I received a confirmation for a reservation with a distinguished price and then they try to charge me more than double the cost previously reserved. It is dishonest and absurd. I have never experienced such horrible service.

Li Fr: I was overcharged $50 from what I was quoted in Priceline. I was told that they do not take the auto insurance that I bought through Priceline and needed to buy their own insurance. I had to cancel the Priceline insurance and be refunded. I was also given a car that had been rear-ended and had the whole back of the car damaged. The car was also a city, tiny car versus the sedan that I had reserved and expected. I do not recommend this place unless you are into being scammed and losing money.

They gave me this old car for a few hours and come back 5 hours later and they didn’t have the car either. They were trying to give me the old car for an extra price, of course my family said “NOT” and they were not giving my refund a lot and I had to call my bank to cancel the payment because I didn’t want the car anymore. Super unprofessional..!

Frank Reyes Otero: It's a disgusting company, we paid $64 insurance through Expedia and they told us that it's not worth it here in Guatemala that we have to buy the one they sell us, on top of that we buy the insurance and when they take our car they bring us one that It wasn't because we rented a Hyundai I10 and they took us a crashed Chevrolet Colorado van with tires with almost 10% life, an outrageous amount of very zinical attention, I don't recommend this car rental site at all! I hope they give us back the money we redeemed

Norvin Ramirez Mecanico.: They are scammer, don't use them.Just over night the change my price and the vehicle, the price when up $450 just because the "expidia insurance is not aceptable" and they want to sell a $25 a day insurance (no even in USA is that expensive) also they say the pictures in the web side are just reference, those are not the real vehicle!!!! Ha ha don't make deals whit theft, I had to use a different company the day before we arribe to Guatemala

Justin: We made a reservation using Expedia and opted for the insurance. A couple days before the pickup date, we got an email from a representative there saying that the price was $100 more than we were quoted (33% increase). She said it was for the insurance for which we already paid. I showed her the invoice from Expedia and she showed me an entirely different one. She said ours was incomplete.I talked with Expedia and they assured me that the price wouldn't change and to show Fox our conversation. When we arrived, there was no one there waiting for us. We had to make several calls and get help from multiple people to get in contact with them. After an hour of waiting they finally showed up. Yhe people that showed up were very unprofessional and were laughing and joking around.The car we booked wasn't available and they insited on the increased price. They also wouldn't let us use the insurance from Expedia.We contacted Expedia and told them the situation. Fox would not agree. So we had Expedia cancel. We had to call another company to cancel the insurance.We wasted time and possibly money (if we're not properly refunded). The whole experience was terrible, unfortunately.

Edita Monzon: What a bad service on December 21 I had reserved for an h1 and when we arrived at the window there was no one and we had to wait a long time for them to tell us that the van was not available so why the hell do you make a reservation if they are not going to have them available the cars, we were lucky that we went with another car company where they treated us very well and gave us the car we wanted thanks to inter america rental car

Krish M: Wow. Renting a car in Guatemala has been the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had while traveling. Upon arrival Dec 25th, I had a reservation with Fox, unfortunately, there was no one at the window downstairs to greet you and when you call them, no one answered. “Luckily” I made secondary reservations elsewhere but I came to find out that no car company in Guatemala actually honors the reservation system. They over book and then sell out and if you’re too late, you’re stuck. So we we’re stranded that day we reached, but I was luck to get an Uber to carry us home. The next day, Dec 26, I arrived back at the airport, searching and hoping to get a car. No car rental companies had anything but we were fortunate to finally see someone at the Fox rental window. We told him our situation (unfortunately there was that language barrier) but he called someone from the nearby office and they came over and spoke with us. Ricardo, was very nice, we explained to him our situation and he was willing to work with us. He went back to the office and found us a car (considering it was a day later), he got us the vehicle, honestly, wasn’t the best quality vehicle, kind of old, had a check engine light, crackled and creeked and sounded like it would’ve broke down but we wasn’t going to let that stop us and ruin the vacation, so we took it anyways. 4 days into our trip the brakes stopped working, we had to carry it back to the office and once again Ricardo helped by exchanging with another vehicle, smaller than what we had before but usable and we kept it until we had to return. Overall, I’m grateful that Ricardo helped us out, do appreciate that. Some things worth improving and fixing, but I’d book with him again, next time I’m visiting. Far better treatment and customer service than anyo go the companies outside the airport (Hertz, Avis and Budget).

Mynor Reyes: Two days into the my trip I noticed the wires from the tire were exposed so before I had a flat I changed it with the spare one. When. I return the car I was charged for the bad tire... after they forced me to buy their insurance that I thought it will cover everything, even though the tire was bad in the first place. Edwin was the only one who helped me to get my Money back after 5 weeks of constantly calling and texting him. Bad experience but at least he was honest and helped me to get my money back.

Fredy Diaz: Do not count on a reservation with these people, I had used their service in the past and hadn't experienced the bad side of but today I had made plans for the day and got there at the time I had the reservation confirmed for, just to find out they did not make any reservation and had no vehicles, only received a pseudo apology from the guy there but the person who failed in do their job only left me in "seen" when I sent them my complaint. Terrible service.
