Restaurante Flor De Lis: what do users think?

Zina Abu-Haydar: That was a true experience. Food I have never had, served in ways I have never experienced. Cheese balls rolled in crushed popcorn served on hot wood and incense burning is just one example. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try unique food that celebrates Mayan culture and is interested in experiential dinning. Also, the wine is 🔥

Cyril Amberger: Flor de Lis is a very nice restaurant serving contemporary Guatemalan food. The menu is a 10 (or 8) course degustation following the history of Mayan culture. If you want to travel through food, it is the place to go. The Chef and the Staff are friendly and professional.

Nelson Bonilla: Amazing restaurant that uses modern techniques with Guatemalan ingredients. Plus you can also order cocktails from Balam.

Monica Rivera: Nice and cozy venue with indoor seating. The 10-course tasting menu was very interesting (a lot of corn with Mayan influences). Also ordered some cocktails and wine by the glass and an extra dish (“alfombra” made with some spices and candy, it was tasty and really pretty). Service was good, friendly and efficient. Prices were great for the flavors and the size of the portions. Limited self-parking.

matti rosengart: It was an amazing experience. The different dishes were a journey with the chef and the kitchen stuff and we enjoyed every minutes of it. The service was very professional and pleasant. Thank you for a great evening.

Anna Wu: Loved the experience! 380Q for a 8 course tasting or 425Q for 10 courses, we opt for 10 courses and every dish was exquisite. Great presentation and I loved listening to each Mayan story behind the inspiration of the dish. Great staff and cocktail as well.

Edith Alvarez: Amazing! Absolutely loved every dish served by the chef. The service is fantastic and they are adaptable to all sorts of dietary restrictions. The experience and the atmosphere make Mayan food a one of a kind experience. Would 100% recommend!

Jason Hobbs: Wow, wow, wow. All around. Guatemalan ingredients, Mayan inspiration, with fine Spanish techniques. The food is truly amazing and the chef is very innovative. We had the 10 course tasting and left not feeling stuffed, we were perfectly full because there wasn't a ton of starch. If you can, definitely make this a destination during your trip. It's delicious and well worth it.

Matt Falber: What an incredible treat. The food made me so happy and the tasting journey was rooted in Mayan culture. This really made for an incredible night.

Sarah Caroline Mueller: Had a very special dining experience here with my fiancé. The chef, Diego Telles, made an exception for us to create an 8 course vegan menu. It was spectacular to say the very least. Tons of local ingredients used in ways that I would've never imagined. Balancing savory and sweet, playing with colors, textures, and mayan legends. Absolutely loved it.

Response: Thank you so much Jancy! We enjoy receiving people that take interest on what we eat, and all the importance of the ingredients

Duncan McCrae: Hands down my best meal in Guatemala. Such a fun and unique experience. The team put together thoughtful dishes that highlighted the regional ingredients is such a creative way. Enjoyed my night, learned more about food, and left feeling a bit inspired! Highly recommend.
Response: Thanks Duncan! regards from the team, we hope to have you here again someday!

This award was given due to the outstanding food, its involvement with local producers and its focus on sustainability. A twist on many traditional foods, but not without innovation as it's staple. Response: wow! Thanks a lot Byron, really nice to meet you!

Willy Gonzalez: Food with connection and lot's of sense, but most importantly delicious. A must, while in Guatemala City.

Donde Joselito Steakhouse: what do users think?

Brett Buys Roc Houses LLC: Place was jam packed, service was outstanding, fast amd friendly. And the food was even better!! Will definitely go back!!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Dany Ardon: Medium rib cut cooked to perfection. This first class steakhouse never disappoints. Great friendly service makes the experience even better. A bit on the pricey side but well-worth it. You can avoid lunch and dinner rush by dining between 3 and 5

Rebeca Colton: Great food. Decoration and ambiance could have been better. Parking was an issue as it was a few metres away in an area that didn't feel all that safe.

JANELLE LOPEZ: Love this place! Food is beyond expectations. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. Totally worth it!

dan wee: Steaks were crazy huge and very delicious. The ambience was warm but also bustling. Loved the hibiscus drink which was new to me.

Pedro Motepeque: The perfect steak, name it and they have it. No other place around has the same flavor and taste. They cook it perfectly to your own liking. Service is awesome as they are always checking that everything is ok and perfect for ones like. Highly recommend as deception is never on the menu. Thank you Donde Joselito!

Noel Ruiz: This is a must stop if you’re into a FANTASTIC steak. All is good, but their “Puyaso” is to die for. If Odin himself would ask for a peace of steak, I’d pick this one from Joselito! 👌🏻

Nile Cifuentes: You can eat all you want with peace of mind you can feed 5 people with the amount of money you'll spend eating by yourself in the US

Carlos Umanzor: To be my first time tasting a Tomahawk definitely do not disappoint, waiters are kind and give you recommends about the differents kinds of salt than you can try.

Mj L: The person who serve the table very very polite and helpful exelent service. But I ask one diferent waitress about the sausage I told him I was allergic to it he keep walking like he didn't care need to be more careful when someone ask question about food allergies

La Cocina de la Señora Pu: what do users think?

Barbara d'Estaintot: Came here for lunch on our last day in Guatemala. Lady working there isn’t the friendliest but the man was helping us navigate the menu a little better. I would say go for the duck. It was the best dish we ordered. Also ordered the cacao chicken which wasn’t my favorite because of the strong coffee taste but that’s just personal preference. Their coffee is super strong so one cup at the end will bring you back to life. A bit more expensive then I thought it would be (500Q for 2 people) but glad we came.

Fiona Alison Kibblewhite: Fantastic authentic food! We felt very welcomed both my Señora Pu herself and the man who kindly explained the menu to us. The food was so delicious. Entrees were about ~100 quetzals and it is cash only. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Guatemala City and looking for some delicious authentic cuisine.

Francisco Quintero: I am a gastronomy critic and I must say that out of 10 restaurants I have visited in Guatemala it has been the worst experience. The waiter who seems to be the owner treated my wife and me very rudely. First I say that I did not receive cards or dollars and then he mistreated us demanding to vacate the restaurant immediately

Daniel Mercer: There is nothing like this place...try the orange duck...complex flavors, Indigenous dishes taken to another level. I highly recommend.

Manuel Hernandez (Manny): Great little spot in downtown Guatemala City. We met Mrs. Pu herself (I'm the picture). She cooks the most delicious and authentic Mayan foods. And just as good as the food, is how kind Mrs. Pu and her staff are.
Response: K'amo / Thank you

Cassie Childers Ryle: Pictures do no justice. It’s simple stuff, but the sauces and seasonings are intricate - you can tell Senora knows what she’s doing. The grilled veggies are done perfectly. Everything timed correctly and executed perfectly. Great tortillas on the side. The area of the city is safe to explore on foot and there’s a lot going on. Highly recommend. We got a fish dish and a steak dish.
Response: K'amo / Thank you

Jake Groenendyk: The staff were very friendly and helpful in answering repeated questions about cooking methods, and we particularly enjoyed the Mayan beef dish with cocoa-chili sauce. The duck also was excellent, cooked very tender with a sweet, tangy sauce.
Response: K'amo / Thank you

Mike Harpring: Charming, not vegetarian friendly. This place was suggested to us by our hostel owner after we mentioned a different food spot. We told him we were vegetarian and he assured us that Doña Pu would make us amazing veg Mayan food. Everything on the menu was meat-centric but it seemed they would accommodate us. We got a plate of grilled vegetables with some sauce on it, avocado, and some old hard tortillas. Delicious, no doubt. But not worth 60q each, and lacking the culinary expertise we saw in some vegetarian dishes in the western highlands of Guatemala. The pumpkin seed refresca was delicious though. And the setting was cozy.

Alan Kollins: lovely intimate dinning experience. diverse selections. muy rico / very tasty. the owner and staff are most gracious and adore interaction with guests. highly recommended.
Response: K'amo / Thank you

Emiliana Cruz: Horrible welcoming. We have had a bad experience in this restaurant. I heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it. I asked my Guatemalan friend to take me there. For our surprise, la Señora Pu block the entrance and welcomed us with this "les aviso que los precios de los platillos de acá son de 150 quetzales para arriba y no se aceptan tarjetas". Meaning, you might not be able to effort my food. I could not believe the words that came out of her mouth. And I asked her "Do you ask these questions to foreigners as well? I am Mexican. Clearly she though I was Guatemalan. She responded "yes, because some people travel on a small budget." Her food might be good, but her classist attitude towards locals is absolutely shocking.

Ambia: what do users think?

Javier Cifuentes: Food was good, not the tastiest food I’ve tried, but a nice combination of flavors, definitely on the pricey side, but service is great.

Jessica Schueler: Delicious food_beautiful atmosphere! Great service!

Sergio Villalobos: What an amazing place!!!! Try duck quesadillas and ask for the salt variety

Diana Morataya: Excellent place. A beautiful open space and a delicious menu.

Kathrin Ott: I'm a cook by myself, experienced kitchens all over this world and this was my worst experience for food in Guatemala. More appearance than real tasty food and high-priced additionally. Well decorated plates don't give authentic taste, it's more about presentation. The Sushi with tuna we had, was overloaded with an indefinable sweet sauce, you could not even taste that there was tuna inside. When we scratched away this sauce, a simple non tasty Sushi role was revealed. If you are interested in Bar music and drinks, the Ambia might be a fancy place to go. If you are interested in Sushi, go for an Japanese restaurant, in Indian food to an Indian restaurant, .... this place is not worse to spend money there for food

Vini Villatoro: The food was SUPERB, well in our case we chose the "Menu de Degustacion", they gave us 7-9 different courses including desserts pair with different wines. The wine pairings were up to par and great contrasts. The service was exceptional and the price is worth the experience.

Miguel Suadi: 5/5 en Guate really good food and drinks. Lobster M&C is fantastic

Joel Salazar: Food is fantastic, great environment, you should know that they did take a long while to serve after we ordered but they recognized the mistake and even gave us a free dessert. Highly recommended!

Aldo Parducci: Great place for drinks, dim lighting and awesome staff!

F Limones: Awesome restaurant, great food choices, Very beautiful nice clientele, top notch service, you cannot go wrong here, a meal for anyone.

Pa Babear: Great food and great place. The french food is modern and all of it is great. The cocktails are super recommended and my favorite one is the black margarita.

Karan Verma: Excellent service and food. Do try their black margarita.

David Galpin: Upscale restaurant with a designer interior and good service. The area is full of restaurants and bars. This one is set back from the street and is private and peaceful. Not every dish was a hit, but overall the food was good. The bill came to just under 900 quetzal for two people, before tips.
Response: Thank you for your comments. We work to make you all feel confortable and live a different experience with us from the food to the atmosphere here

Janelle Allen: I still dream about Clio's delicious food!! The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were out of this world. Clio's was our first stop when we arrived in Guatemala. You can say our love for Guatemala started at Clio's. Can't wait to return!!

Peter Gregg: Beautiful and elegant restaurant. Set back from the parking lot. Large space with full bar. Very helpful and attentive wait staff. The appetizers and entrees not only tasted amazing but also were wonderfully decorated. Each plate was art. Would highly recommend for a business dinner or romantic night out. I will be back next time I am in Guatemala.

Andrea Prado: Great food and service!
Response: Thank you very much for your words!! We hope to see you again soon!!

Guillermo Hellmund: The chef grows his own lettuces and microgreens on the restaurants roof. Enough said! Chef driven, excellent food.. On point the whole way. I had one if the best salads I've ever had at Clio, photo below. Fresh Strawberry, Toasted hazelnut and an excellent berry vinaigrette. They also have a KEG of awesome citrusy local beer which is almost unheard of in Guatemala. The design of the place is very fresh and light and airy, lots of plants, totally open post modern design, high ceilings and skylights. In excellent taste!
Response: thanks

Eu Ramirez: Nice place and excellent service! Went there for brunch, wouldn’t go back for that, but definitely for dinner. The locals always recommend it

J.: Amazing service and good food.
Response: Thank you!

Scott Oliver: Delicious breads, awesome sauces and fantastic food. I bought all sorts of tasty goodies from their little store inside to take home too...

Josh “Scosh” Scotia: Great little wine restaurants that is pretty swanky and you may want to be a little dressed up. They had live music and great service. in this place is located next to a few other good restaurants and bars in the same building. Adventured here after the sun went down and still felt very safe.

300 feet above: Food is good but not great. Nice atmosphere though. Comes with free amouse bouche and bread.

Herbert Fuhlrott: The service was not that good. It took a lot of time to get the order taken. Ordered a glass of wine which I never got. They have 0 gluten free food. The waiter was nice and friendly.

Rainman Janixz: foos is very good but service not so much

Guillermo Perez: Don't let the quiet environment fool you, the food is awesome! they successfully integrated the gourmet and local flavors, we definitively recommend this place for any special occasion.

F L (Name): Caution! Watch Your Bill. Overcharged one entree 33% and tried to explain it away for 15 minutes thereby ruining the experience. Very adamant that the overcharge should be paid even while acknowledging the menu $ was 33% less than what was charged. Food was mostly well executed and the interior environment is beautiful but there is no excuse for shady fraudulent tricks.

Aron Lindblom: Good food. I've only ever tried their meat dishes and desserts, but those are very good. Typical Guatemalan beers on the menu plus Stella, Leffe and Hoegaarden 👍

Gerardo Chavez: So many flavors off of 1 cut of steal. Amazing!

Lucy Trotzke: Location, service, food! Don't forget to try the deserts that have a touch of local veggies or fruits! You will not be disappointed!! A bit on the pricey side but it is worth every penny!

Luis Castellanos: I went out with a group of international visitors. I wanted them to have a Reilly Guatemalan experience and yet not forcing them to try our delicious typical food, since not every culture is up for that. The resulta wa just FANTASTIC

FJR Santillan: It’s a great atmosphere and people of high class so I expected a good steak, I received many little mini steaks that lack flavor, super salty and greasy, very disappointing for the restaurant environment. I assume a New York Strip will never be sold here but over all it was ok,
Response: We are sorry that you did not choose the cut you wanted from our menu because if we have them ☺️, we hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you and thus fulfill your expectations.

Quiltro: what do users think?

Margaret Graff (Audace): The only gastronomic restaurant in Antigua, and it’s a well-kept secret. We chose the 12-course tasting menu with wine pairings and were very happy. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food. The chef has an impressive pedigree from several of the world’s best restaurants. He offers creative twists on local dishes with local ingredients, making this more Guatemalan than many of the restaurants you find in Antigua. The restaurant is tiny — we were only two tables on a Wednesday night. Apparently if you want to see the chef your best bets are Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy!

Steven Petrillo: One of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had. There were three of us and it came out to ~$130/person for the 12 course tasting menu and their natural pairing of mead. Which were absolutely spectacular There were only two other diners when we went at 7pm on a Wednesday night - we like to think we got extra attention from the two chefs. All the dishes were fabulous. This would have costed $300+ in America so that may have made the food taste even better too A must visit if you want a culinary experience in Antigua. Be sure to try their mead

Victor Calderon: This experience was was beyond anything we would've expected. For the price and the quality of food we could not have asked for more. All 10 courses with the wine pairing were sensational. When we return to Antigua this will be our first stop again!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Wine Pairing …More

Cary Hayner: Truly the closest thing to a Michelin-starred dinner in Antigua! Chef Rodrigo Silva continues to reinvent himself and his craft at his new location for Quiltro. The 12 course offering demonstrates his ability to be daring and show off his vulnerable side as he pushes himself to further heights including fish skin chicharronnes and jackfruit-vinegar infused cucumber dishes along with fan-favorites including pork chicharrones and beef steak with pepita sauce and cheese tamales. The atmosphere is relaxed, happy, and chic. Sip on his homemade hydro-miel which serves as an amazing palette cleanser. Our most recent visit also started with a great shrimp amuse-bouche, and ended with a succulent black beer ice cream and toffee followed by a Ron Zacapa nightcap. Quiltro is a can’t miss anyone who enjoys fine dining - and the price cannot be beat in Guatemala. We love to visit Quiltro and Chef Rodrigo with every trip to Antigua!

Niv Ron: We had high expectations, but were quite disappointed. We were excited by having the whole place to ourselves, a true private dining experience we thought. Turns out that there were no other diners, which is unusual for a Friday night. Initially it seemed that everything was fresh, but then we realized that everything was either frozen or fermented. Excellent presentation but disappointing flavors - everything was sweet with lots of sugar.

Relinde van Laar: We went there in mid-December 2022. Having dined in many two and three star Michelin restaurants around the globe, I was intrigued to try Quiltry. The quality and standard of the food is not worth the price. It’s as simple as that. The taste of the food is not refined, apart from one dish or two it was even mostly bland. The food is not bad, but definitely not amazing. The wine pairing was average at best and the mead reminds of soda. We actually preferred the shrimp tacos at Frida’s. This is an honest review. The service was very good and the people are nice but we went there for the food.

Ron Torten: This is a complete ripoff. The food was mostly non-edible, loaded with salt. The only protein was a block of pork that was 90% fat. The wine pairing is cheap South American for which they charge a lot more than the cost of the bottle and they don’t even open a fresh one. The price is outrages and they add a tip that in not shown on the menu. Disappointed that I did not read the reviews before I want into an empty restaurant on the recommendation of our guide. They also did not speak much English, so it was hard to communicate. The owner/chef was out of town, so that could explain some of the disappointment.

Samantha Hernandez: My fiancé and I had the 10 course meal and everything was so delicious! We kept complementing the chef because we enjoyed this Chilean-Guatemalan fusion!

R N: Lucked out and secured a last minute rsvp on a Sunday night. 12 course tasting menu was delicious. The chef came to the table and explained each dish.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Ichintal Vegan Cheese And, Beef Spinach, Seasonal Fruit, Mash Corn and Basil, Roasted, Wine Pairing, Sea Bass Cured in Black Salt, Bass Fish Chicharon, Spinach Apple, Ichintal Vegan Cheese, Glass of Wine, Beer Ice Cream …More

Daniella: Lovely restaurant in Antigua, friendly staff the owner explains each dish. There is only a tasting menu in the evening, a la carte for lunch, we enjoyed 8 dishes with a pairing of 2 glasses of wine. Vino ‘verde’ a Portuguese wine and a Spanish red. Very modern feel, we felt like we were in a high standard European restaurant. All dishes very pleasing to the eye. Decor minimal but warm.

Maria Jose AR: Forever one of my favorite restaurants in Guatemala. This a place where you feel every detail since the moment you enter. The restaurant is beautiful, with big spaces so you feel like you have your own space. The attention is really good, sometimes a little slow but in general is really good. Food is amazing. Great presentation and even better taste. You really have to come here. The only issue is that parking is a little small but there is the option of valet parking.

Paula Kellogg: Ask for Jose Hugo! He is such a wonderful waiter. Always there getting what we need before we even ask. He also speaks perfect English. The food is amazing. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Jose Romero: I have been a regular of this restaurant for over 25 years. I am sorry to report that the place in frank decadence...half the plates on the menu were unavailable...one of the meats we ordered was too salty to eat, and the chef did not come out to explain, even when we asked repeatedly for his presence at our table...very unfortunate experience overall...

Melanie Zhang: Food is on the salty side and expensive for what it is. I also didn't like the way the waiter asked for tips. Overall a good experience but I expected more.

Nicole Ascione: I was incredibly disappointed with my spaghetti al pesto. Sauce was not flavorful enough. They didn't have the appetizer I wanted and the prices were high and were not justified in my opinion.

Herbert Fuhlrott: Great food, good service. Gluten free options and open to change orders based on preference. Definitely a 5 stars restaurant.

Fernando: We came for the trout with butter and almonds. But the appetizers were superb and the service impeccable. A pleasure to recommend this French classic in Guate.

Bhupesh Patel: Exquisite high end French restaurant, fabulous ambiance, great food, specialties are seafood and beef. Wide choice of desserts and wines. Service was excellent. Ideal for business meetings and entertainment.

Samuel Gaspar: Great food and service!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Salomón Rodríguez: Had the seabass with dill, wine and capers, a very delicious dish.Mushrooms with gratin cheese for appetizer.

Cassline Brutus: The view was amazing and so was the food. I had the steak and shrimp and it was to die for. The soup they give you when you first come was so tasty. I did not expect it! This is a must! Also I am American and I realize that in Guatemala they do not drink a lot. Our drinks were not as strong but we did order tequila shots

Mesón Panza Verde: what do users think?

Élira-Néon St-Onge: Truly a unique experience. This restaurant serves a fresh perspective on food while respecting classic ideas of culinary art. The ambiance is so romantic. Your might fall in love with the person you’re coming with but you definitely will leave infatuated with the place. Rare Gem Restaurant in the world.

Liana Campos: Christmas Dinner 2022 was phenomenal! Each dish was carefully prepared and we left satisfied! The chefs are well skilled and know what they are doing. Our waiter Noe treated us very nice.

Alfonso Strotgen: Everything fine. My only gripe is with the cocktail I ordered: a Negroni, which arrived with shattered ice that melted quickly and watered down the drink.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Diego Perez: What an amazing hotel in the heart of Antigua Guatemala…. This place is amazing the grounds are expectacular and the rooms are beautiful great restaurant and service is excellent

Maor Roffe: Gorgeous hotel with an excellent restaurant inside. If not too busy they'll even serve you breakfast in the rooftop terrace!! Stunning views from up there as well. Our king suite was beautiful with a nice bath tub (room #11). A very nice breakfast is included as is a welcome cocktail. Also, this was the softest mattress I've slept on in Antigua yet, which was really nice. Few minor cons: No screen to keep bugs out & room gets warm with windows closed. Mosquitoes are fierce in Antigua! But this is common to every single hotel I stayed at here in Antigua. The room is a bit warm but they provide a fan. The hotel is about 7min walk from center of city, cafes, etc. No big deal for me as i love to walk. Also it's much quieter as a result at night.
Response: Thank you for your visit, we are so happy to know, that you have enjoyed your stay with us and we really appreciate your feedback. We are looking forward to your return in a near future. We will be here for you. Have a wonderful trip back home.

Andreia Coutinho: This has been one of the most wonderful hotels I've ever had the pleasure to stay at. The hotel is so so beautiful and full of hidden magical corners, it makes you feel as if you are in a mini Hogwarts. Hehe. The staff is very nice, everything is immaculately clean and well maintained. They have a great restaurant, bar, live music and events. The pool area is also very beautiful, almost reminds you of a Moroccan riad. For anyone staying in Antigua, I could not recommend this hotel more. Sure there are great hotels out there...but as magical as this one? I highly doubt it. I fell in love, and could have stayed forever. 10/10
Response: Thank you very much Andreia for your visit. We are so happy to hear that everything about the hotel made your stay extra special. We are looking forward to your stay in the future, we will be here for you. Have a great journey back home.

Andrea Moragui: This is not our first time at The meson panza verde, and I feel really disappointed because last night we found some bugs in our bed. After calling to reception and checking the bugs they decided to change us to different room. This morning at the check out they gaslight us saying that the couldn’t find any bugs… when the guy the night before saw the bugs crawling in the pillows. Any way not coming back, maybe was bad luck but that is unacceptable for a $220ish dollar/ night. Update: Sadly the gaslight continues after all. And no courtesy dinner was offer to us just to be clear.
Response: Thank you for your comment. We always do everything possible so that our guests have a pleasant experience, for that reason we decided to change your room and give you a courtesy dinner. We also followed up and did not find any bugs in your room as you mention. We appreciate the comment to always improve.

Terence Lonsdale: Great food, with pretty good service in an amazing setting in the middle of town.

Justin Hayworth: Review is for the restaurant, which I went to for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Food was delicious and gourmet. I had the squid and lobster; the lobster in particular was huge and incredibly well presented. Mille crepe dessert hit the spot too. The hotel’s ambiance was also beautiful with the piano and the pool and old school architecture combining for a magical feel. Highly recommend the food, and the hotel rooms looked very nice from visiting my friends suite.

Meredith Cote: A dreamy hotel , worth the short walk from the “town center”. The rooms were fabulous , each unique in their decor and offerings. We had a fabulous dinner here, the cocktails were amazing, as well! Highly recommend for an upscale stay in Antigua

Donde Mikel: what do users think?

Kevyn McGregor: A flavourful extravaganza best enjoyed by sharing several plates!! Massive shrimp, delectable calamari and octopus, and juicy, tender flank steak make for a delicious evening of a food experience!!

Roberto Destarac: Good food and wine selection! Steak and shrimp is their specialty, and they have a variety of Spanish tapas.

Douglas Escobar: Great flavours, good service, simple dishes options. Not for a budget visit, but worth the price. Good for a couple or family dinner, or friend goes out.

Danny Kim: You cannot find a match for this restaurant.Specialty is seafood and beef.you can start with mar y tierra.

Sang In: Decent steak house with acceptable price. One flaw is that it only opens during weekdays

Peter Gregg: Fantastic restaurant. Plenty of different cold beers. Had numerous, amazing apps with prawns and more. The entrees we're good size and huge flavor. Had skirt steak with peppers and some other plates we passed around. Sat upstairs on the balcony and weather was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Noel Ruiz: Meat meat meeeeat! I’m always up for a good steak, and every time I go to a steak restaurant I get a bit anxious to find out how good it’s gonna be. Donde Mikel exceeded my expectation by far. Steak was cooked perfectly, shrimps were juicy and had that perfectly cooked crunch and the Micheladas 👌🏻. It’s a bit pricy, so prepare yourself! It’s totally worth it though

Liliana Escobar: Great food, big plates... a really good meal!! Worth paying!

Luiz Ulloa: one of the best restaurant in food quality to Guatemala but have a bad quality staff service. I had been 3 times and the service is worse every time

renata altenfelder: When in Guatemala and looking for a traditional place to have confort food you should try Donde Mikel.A good place to have schrimps, meat and a plain salada.Only thing to take into consideration is if you are on diet...

Karl Beyer: I am from Philadelphia in the United States and was taking my girlfriend to dinner here for valentines day and I had many difficulties in sending money for the reservation. The staff went above and beyond to help me with everything and finally we arrived a beautiful romantic table setup and had and amazing dinner with fabulous food. The staff was so friendly and made everything perfect. I will be coming here everytime I visit, approximately every other month. I highly recommend dining here

Bella Tollova: Had a fabulous dinner tonight, picana was to die for and the wine suggested by the waiter was exactly what I needed! Big shout out to Israel, who went above and beyond to ensure my dinner was spectacular! Will definitely be back next time in town as well as recommend to my colleagues.
Response: Thanks for your review it was a pleasure to serve you!! Hope to see you again soon.

Obed Rodriguez: This was the second time I've been here. The place has plenty of parking space and the restaurant facilities are nice. We came to a StandUpComedy show and we had a blast. Food was alright, we ordered picaña and Wine, Soup and Cheese Fondue. The service the first time around was exceptional, no complains. This time was horrible. We requested a side of Tortillas and it took approximately 30 mins and 4 waiters to get the order. I understand that due to the show they were under staff but, this is definitely something they could improve. Both experience combined avg 4* 1st. 5* 2nd 3*
Response: Obey: Thank you very much for your objective opinion. As a restaurant we owe it to our customers and opinions help us improve. We are very grateful for taking the time to write and express this instance to us to take action and correct it. We fully understand what it becomes to ask for something several times. On your next visit, please give us a chance. Show this message to the captain of waiters and we will give you a special detail.

Matt Young: I’ll start by saying the food is not the reason for this 1-star review. It was the bullying service and greedy management. First off the 10% service charge is not given to the staff. They just are charging you 10% markup on top of the listed prices. Second: I went there as a non-Spanish speaker. They had an English menu so I thought it’d be no problem. We ordered from the English menu and because it’s in a different order than the Spanish menu our waiter misunderstood and brought us the wrong dish. We sent it back without touching it. Then the bill comes…. the appetizer was still on the bill. The manager comes over and is very accusatory that we had somehow smuggled the dish in our takeout boxes when they are the ones who put our food in the takeout boxes themselves. Then he tells us that if we don’t pay for it that our waiter would be charged for it! This disgusting attempt to guilt trip is to pay for food we never ordered and didn’t eat was enough for me to write this review. We were then informed by the waiter that he doesn’t receive the 10% charge and we would have to add another tip if we wanted to give him anything. I blame the management and restaurant owners not the waiters for this encounter and plead that people eat at another restaurant that still has its morals. Edit: I was asked to be more explicit but this is a very detailed story and they obviously dont want to address what I've laid out.
Response: Matt the opinion of our costumers Is very important. Can you be please more explicit.

Darryl Jackson: Nice place, didn't eat but great menu. Will go back for dinner.
Response: Thank you for your rating about your experience at Rincón del Steak, for us it was a pleasure to have attended you in a Meat Al Trapo Experience We look forward to seeing you again very soon, it will be a pleasure to serve you.

Jorge Rincon: I honestly consider one of the best restaurants in Guatemala! Highly recommended!
Response: Thank you for your rating on the experience at Rincón del Steak, for us it was a complete pleasure to have served you We are waiting for you very soon, it will be a pleasure to serve you

Ilya Drouker: Best steak house in Guatemala. A bit pricey but totally worth it!

Mike Fuentes: First of all, great food! Nice place, good amount of food, perfect price... Yes a perfect price, and the service is great.

Maria Bejarano: The met is delicious!!! And the place is original and warm
