Restaurante Flor De Lis: what do users think?
Zina Abu-Haydar
Zina Abu-Haydar: That was a true experience. Food I have never had, served in ways I have never experienced. Cheese balls rolled in crushed popcorn served on hot wood and incense burning is just one example. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try unique food that celebrates Mayan culture and is interested in experiential dinning. Also, the wine is 🔥
Cyril Amberger
Cyril Amberger: Flor de Lis is a very nice restaurant serving contemporary Guatemalan food. The menu is a 10 (or 8) course degustation following the history of Mayan culture. If you want to travel through food, it is the place to go. The Chef and the Staff are friendly and professional.
Nelson Bonilla
Nelson Bonilla: Amazing restaurant that uses modern techniques with Guatemalan ingredients. Plus you can also order cocktails from Balam.
Monica Rivera
Monica Rivera: Nice and cozy venue with indoor seating. The 10-course tasting menu was very interesting (a lot of corn with Mayan influences). Also ordered some cocktails and wine by the glass and an extra dish (“alfombra” made with some spices and candy, it was tasty and really pretty). Service was good, friendly and efficient. Prices were great for the flavors and the size of the portions. Limited self-parking.
matti rosengart
matti rosengart: It was an amazing experience. The different dishes were a journey with the chef and the kitchen stuff and we enjoyed every minutes of it. The service was very professional and pleasant. Thank you for a great evening.
Anna Wu
Anna Wu: Loved the experience! 380Q for a 8 course tasting or 425Q for 10 courses, we opt for 10 courses and every dish was exquisite. Great presentation and I loved listening to each Mayan story behind the inspiration of the dish. Great staff and cocktail as well.
Edith Alvarez
Edith Alvarez: Amazing! Absolutely loved every dish served by the chef. The service is fantastic and they are adaptable to all sorts of dietary restrictions. The experience and the atmosphere make Mayan food a one of a kind experience. Would 100% recommend!
Matt Falber
Matt Falber: What an incredible treat. The food made me so happy and the tasting journey was rooted in Mayan culture. This really made for an incredible night.

Dany Ardon
Dany Ardon: Medium rib cut cooked to perfection. This first class steakhouse never disappoints. Great friendly service makes the experience even better. A bit on the pricey side but well-worth it. You can avoid lunch and dinner rush by dining between 3 and 5
JANELLE LOPEZ

Service is awesome as they are always checking that everything is ok and perfect for ones like. Highly recommend as deception is never on the menu. Thank you Donde Joselito!
Noel Ruiz
Noel Ruiz: This is a must stop if you’re into a FANTASTIC steak. All is good, but their “Puyaso” is to die for. If Odin himself would ask for a peace of steak, I’d pick this one from Joselito! 👌🏻

La Cocina de la Señora Pu: what do users think?
Barbara d'Estaintot
Barbara d'Estaintot: Came here for lunch on our last day in Guatemala. Lady working there isn’t the friendliest but the man was helping us navigate the menu a little better. I would say go for the duck. It was the best dish we ordered. Also ordered the cacao chicken which wasn’t my favorite because of the strong coffee taste but that’s just personal preference. Their coffee is super strong so one cup at the end will bring you back to life. A bit more expensive then I thought it would be (500Q for 2 people) but glad we came.
Fiona Alison Kibblewhite
Fiona Alison Kibblewhite: Fantastic authentic food! We felt very welcomed both my Señora Pu herself and the man who kindly explained the menu to us. The food was so delicious. Entrees were about ~100 quetzals and it is cash only. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Guatemala City and looking for some delicious authentic cuisine.
Francisco Quintero
Francisco Quintero: I am a gastronomy critic and I must say that out of 10 restaurants I have visited in Guatemala it has been the worst experience. The waiter who seems to be the owner treated my wife and me very rudely. First I say that I did not receive cards or dollars and then he mistreated us demanding to vacate the restaurant immediately
Daniel Mercer
Daniel Mercer: There is nothing like this place...try the orange duck...complex flavors, Indigenous dishes taken to another level. I highly recommend.
Cassie Childers Ryle
Cassie Childers Ryle: Pictures do no justice. It’s simple stuff, but the sauces and seasonings are intricate - you can tell Senora knows what she’s doing. The grilled veggies are done perfectly. Everything timed correctly and executed perfectly. Great tortillas on the side. The area of the city is safe to explore on foot and there’s a lot going on. Highly recommend. We got a fish dish and a steak dish.
Response: K'amo / Thank you
Jake Groenendyk
Jake Groenendyk: The staff were very friendly and helpful in answering repeated questions about cooking methods, and we particularly enjoyed the Mayan beef dish with cocoa-chili sauce. The duck also was excellent, cooked very tender with a sweet, tangy sauce.
Response: K'amo / Thank you
Mike Harpring
Mike Harpring: Charming, not vegetarian friendly. This place was suggested to us by our hostel owner after we mentioned a different food spot. We told him we were vegetarian and he assured us that Doña Pu would make us amazing veg Mayan food. Everything on the menu was meat-centric but it seemed they would accommodate us. We got a plate of grilled vegetables with some sauce on it, avocado, and some old hard tortillas. Delicious, no doubt. But not worth 60q each, and lacking the culinary expertise we saw in some vegetarian dishes in the western highlands of Guatemala. The pumpkin seed refresca was delicious though. And the setting was cozy.
Alan Kollins
Alan Kollins: lovely intimate dinning experience. diverse selections. muy rico / very tasty. the owner and staff are most gracious and adore interaction with guests. highly recommended.
Response: K'amo / Thank you
Emiliana Cruz
Emiliana Cruz: Horrible welcoming. We have had a bad experience in this restaurant. I heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it. I asked my Guatemalan friend to take me there. For our surprise, la Señora Pu block the entrance and welcomed us with this "les aviso que los precios de los platillos de acá son de 150 quetzales para arriba y no se aceptan tarjetas". Meaning, you might not be able to effort my food. I could not believe the words that came out of her mouth. And I asked her "Do you ask these questions to foreigners as well? I am Mexican. Clearly she though I was Guatemalan. She responded "yes, because some people travel on a small budget." Her food might be good, but her classist attitude towards locals is absolutely shocking.

Rainman Janixz
Rainman Janixz: foos is very good but service not so much
F L (Name)
F L (Name): Caution! Watch Your Bill. Overcharged one entree 33% and tried to explain it away for 15 minutes thereby ruining the experience. Very adamant that the overcharge should be paid even while acknowledging the menu $ was 33% less than what was charged. Food was mostly well executed and the interior environment is beautiful but there is no excuse for shady fraudulent tricks.
Gerardo Chavez
Gerardo Chavez: So many flavors off of 1 cut of steal. Amazing!
Luis Castellanos
Luis Castellanos: I went out with a group of international visitors. I wanted them to have a Reilly Guatemalan experience and yet not forcing them to try our delicious typical food, since not every culture is up for that. The resulta wa just FANTASTIC

Margaret Graff (Audace)
Margaret Graff (Audace): The only gastronomic restaurant in Antigua, and it’s a well-kept secret. We chose the 12-course tasting menu with wine pairings and were very happy. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food. The chef has an impressive pedigree from several of the world’s best restaurants. He offers creative twists on local dishes with local ingredients, making this more Guatemalan than many of the restaurants you find in Antigua. The restaurant is tiny — we were only two tables on a Wednesday night. Apparently if you want to see the chef your best bets are Friday and Saturday nights. Enjoy!
Steven Petrillo
Steven Petrillo: One of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had. There were three of us and it came out to ~$130/person for the 12 course tasting menu and their natural pairing of mead. Which were absolutely spectacular There were only two other diners when we went at 7pm on a Wednesday night - we like to think we got extra attention from the two chefs. All the dishes were fabulous. This would have costed $300+ in America so that may have made the food taste even better too A must visit if you want a culinary experience in Antigua. Be sure to try their mead
Cary Hayner
Cary Hayner: Truly the closest thing to a Michelin-starred dinner in Antigua! Chef Rodrigo Silva continues to reinvent himself and his craft at his new location for Quiltro. The 12 course offering demonstrates his ability to be daring and show off his vulnerable side as he pushes himself to further heights including fish skin chicharronnes and jackfruit-vinegar infused cucumber dishes along with fan-favorites including pork chicharrones and beef steak with pepita sauce and cheese tamales. The atmosphere is relaxed, happy, and chic. Sip on his homemade hydro-miel which serves as an amazing palette cleanser. Our most recent visit also started with a great shrimp amuse-bouche, and ended with a succulent black beer ice cream and toffee followed by a Ron Zacapa nightcap. Quiltro is a can’t miss anyone who enjoys fine dining - and the price cannot be beat in Guatemala. We love to visit Quiltro and Chef Rodrigo with every trip to Antigua!
Niv Ron
Niv Ron: We had high expectations, but were quite disappointed. We were excited by having the whole place to ourselves, a true private dining experience we thought. Turns out that there were no other diners, which is unusual for a Friday night. Initially it seemed that everything was fresh, but then we realized that everything was either frozen or fermented. Excellent presentation but disappointing flavors - everything was sweet with lots of sugar.
Relinde van Laar
Relinde van Laar: We went there in mid-December 2022. Having dined in many two and three star Michelin restaurants around the globe, I was intrigued to try Quiltry. The quality and standard of the food is not worth the price. It’s as simple as that. The taste of the food is not refined, apart from one dish or two it was even mostly bland. The food is not bad, but definitely not amazing. The wine pairing was average at best and the mead reminds of soda. We actually preferred the shrimp tacos at Frida’s. This is an honest review. The service was very good and the people are nice but we went there for the food.
Ron Torten
Ron Torten: This is a complete ripoff. The food was mostly non-edible, loaded with salt. The only protein was a block of pork that was 90% fat. The wine pairing is cheap South American for which they charge a lot more than the cost of the bottle and they don’t even open a fresh one. The price is outrages and they add a tip that in not shown on the menu. Disappointed that I did not read the reviews before I want into an empty restaurant on the recommendation of our guide. They also did not speak much English, so it was hard to communicate. The owner/chef was out of town, so that could explain some of the disappointment.
Samantha Hernandez
Samantha Hernandez: My fiancé and I had the 10 course meal and everything was so delicious! We kept complementing the chef because we enjoyed this Chilean-Guatemalan fusion!
R N
R N: Lucked out and secured a last minute rsvp on a Sunday night. 12 course tasting menu was delicious. The chef came to the table and explained each dish.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Ichintal Vegan Cheese And, Beef Spinach, Seasonal Fruit, Mash Corn and Basil, Roasted, Wine Pairing, Sea Bass Cured in Black Salt, Bass Fish Chicharon, Spinach Apple, Ichintal Vegan Cheese, Glass of Wine, Beer Ice Cream …More
Daniella
Daniella: Lovely restaurant in Antigua, friendly staff the owner explains each dish. There is only a tasting menu in the evening, a la carte for lunch, we enjoyed 8 dishes with a pairing of 2 glasses of wine. Vino ‘verde’ a Portuguese wine and a Spanish red. Very modern feel, we felt like we were in a high standard European restaurant. All dishes very pleasing to the eye. Decor minimal but warm.

Maria Jose AR: Forever one of my favorite restaurants in Guatemala. This a place where you feel every detail since the moment you enter. The restaurant is beautiful, with big spaces so you feel like you have your own space. The attention is really good, sometimes a little slow but in general is really good. Food is amazing. Great presentation and even better taste. You really have to come here. The only issue is that parking is a little small but there is the option of valet parking.
Paula Kellogg
Paula Kellogg: Ask for Jose Hugo! He is such a wonderful waiter. Always there getting what we need before we even ask. He also speaks perfect English. The food is amazing. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Jose Romero
Jose Romero: I have been a regular of this restaurant for over 25 years. I am sorry to report that the place in frank decadence...half the plates on the menu were unavailable...one of the meats we ordered was too salty to eat, and the chef did not come out to explain, even when we asked repeatedly for his presence at our table...very unfortunate experience overall...

Herbert Fuhlrott: Great food, good service. Gluten free options and open to change orders based on preference. Definitely a 5 stars restaurant.

Élira-Néon St-Onge
Élira-Néon St-Onge: Truly a unique experience. This restaurant serves a fresh perspective on food while respecting classic ideas of culinary art. The ambiance is so romantic. Your might fall in love with the person you’re coming with but you definitely will leave infatuated with the place. Rare Gem Restaurant in the world.
Liana Campos
Liana Campos: Christmas Dinner 2022 was phenomenal! Each dish was carefully prepared and we left satisfied! The chefs are well skilled and know what they are doing. Our waiter Noe treated us very nice.
Alfonso Strotgen
Alfonso Strotgen: Everything fine. My only gripe is with the cocktail I ordered: a Negroni, which arrived with shattered ice that melted quickly and watered down the drink.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Diego Perez
Diego Perez: What an amazing hotel in the heart of Antigua Guatemala…. This place is amazing the grounds are expectacular and the rooms are beautiful great restaurant and service is excellent
Andrea Moragui
Andrea Moragui: This is not our first time at The meson panza verde, and I feel really disappointed because last night we found some bugs in our bed. After calling to reception and checking the bugs they decided to change us to different room. This morning at the check out they gaslight us saying that the couldn’t find any bugs… when the guy the night before saw the bugs crawling in the pillows. Any way not coming back, maybe was bad luck but that is unacceptable for a $220ish dollar/ night. Update: Sadly the gaslight continues after all. And no courtesy dinner was offer to us just to be clear.
Response: Thank you for your comment. We always do everything possible so that our guests have a pleasant experience, for that reason we decided to change your room and give you a courtesy dinner. We also followed up and did not find any bugs in your room as you mention. We appreciate the comment to always improve.
Terence Lonsdale
Terence Lonsdale: Great food, with pretty good service in an amazing setting in the middle of town.
Justin Hayworth
Justin Hayworth: Review is for the restaurant, which I went to for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Food was delicious and gourmet. I had the squid and lobster; the lobster in particular was huge and incredibly well presented. Mille crepe dessert hit the spot too. The hotel’s ambiance was also beautiful with the piano and the pool and old school architecture combining for a magical feel. Highly recommend the food, and the hotel rooms looked very nice from visiting my friends suite.
Meredith Cote
Meredith Cote: A dreamy hotel , worth the short walk from the “town center”. The rooms were fabulous , each unique in their decor and offerings. We had a fabulous dinner here, the cocktails were amazing, as well! Highly recommend for an upscale stay in Antigua

Danny Kim
Danny Kim: You cannot find a match for this restaurant.Specialty is seafood and beef.you can start with mar y tierra.
Sang In
Sang In: Decent steak house with acceptable price. One flaw is that it only opens during weekdays
Noel Ruiz
Noel Ruiz: Meat meat meeeeat! I’m always up for a good steak, and every time I go to a steak restaurant I get a bit anxious to find out how good it’s gonna be. Donde Mikel exceeded my expectation by far. Steak was cooked perfectly, shrimps were juicy and had that perfectly cooked crunch and the Micheladas 👌🏻. It’s a bit pricy, so prepare yourself! It’s totally worth it though
Liliana Escobar
