Nacional Museum of Archeology and Ethnology: what do users think?
Max Leiva: Pay attention if you want to visit this museum, because it is announced with "Open" when it is actually closed. Sometimes it appears "temporarily closed" and today Sunday it was announced Open. Tremendous disappointment! It is closed and they do not report an opening date. Just at the moment that he was showing the police officer at the entrance door that it was announced on the networks as Open, a tourist arrived to run into the same situation. Evil! Very badly
Viva Viajes: We arrived at the museum and they told us that three years ago it was closed for remodeling, there is no notice of it
Andrew Rixom: WARNING NOW CLOSEDFOR 3 YEARS FOR RENOVATIONMuseum is permanently closed for renovation. Security guard says for three years. All exhibits in the basement. Gates to museum compound locked.Adjacent Modern Art museum in compound also closed with workers carrying debris out the front doors and construction lorries in front of both. Trenches dug alongside both and some hoardings up.There is no museum website so no info. All travel guides out of date.
Juan Calri: closed for remodeling
Eduardo Antonio Pezzarossi: Visited on Weekend Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended Not sureMore

Diana Acuna: The museum is currently closed for renovations while Google shows it as being open FYI. Both Archeology and Modern Art temporarily closed
Joey Bartram: It’s been closed for a month for works, google needs to be updated
Eugen S: Only the natural history museum is open...waste of time.Visited on Weekday …More
Carcajo: A spacious museum with a lot of history from Guatemala's past.
Andy Reyes: Well... You can't enter the Archeology museum XD because it's being remodeled... BUT the art museum and the natural history museum are open! The art is impressive, very good job they have done. The one with natural hystia is quite abandoned but it is still worth seeing.
Wendy Prado: Excellent placeVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More
Eddy Solares: The museum has been remodeling and the collection changes or has something new at certain times. A museum worth visiting, especially if you are interested in Mayan culture.
Julio Roberto Alvarado Monterroso: It is a beautiful old building. I visited it on a Saturday and it is closed for remodeling. I suggest checking in networks before going.
Beatriz Y A: The visit was super good and our guide was great, congratulations and our thanks to the super attentive museum staff 😍😍
Francisco Román: Very nice to go for a walk and see everything inside it was very nice
Carmen Simón: Interesting museum in which is the history of the Mayans.
Harry Nijkamp: One of the most beautiful museums I visited. All the things you want to find around Maya Culture
Marly Vargas: :(Translated by Google
roxana Vargas: I have visited it years ago, it is majestic, plus the jade vault, about 2 weeks ago, exactly on Friday, May 13, 2022, I tried to go and the guard told me that it is under renovation, and he did not let me in, I think that they should put that information or say, when it will be enabled
Azucena Saucedo: It is a fairly large museum, in which you can see information about the Mayans, typical costumes by region, stelae, ruins, among others. They have their own website and social networks. The entrance fee for nationals is Q5.00 and for foreigners is Q60.00. Children under 10 years of age and public sector students enter free. On Mondays it is closed. In photos I leave the information.

Railway Museum: what do users think?
Elvia Chupina: Very nice place by antiquity of Guatemala.
Vinicio Pellecer: As a very good museum. It's a pity that the Toki train wagons have deteriorated, reminiscent of my generation's childhood. There is no restaurant. The train ride can be annoying since the train driver blows his horn or whistle all the way and you can't talk
Lidia Arce: Pleasant visit and moments, to remember the days of its use.
Victor Velazquez: Very nice, very friendly staffVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Charly Diaz: A very beautiful place, with a lot of history, I grew up in the Gerona neighborhood and it was very happy to be able to see the trains that at some point I saw pass in front of me, share it with my family and remember many anecdotes from my parents and my grandparents
Carlos Angeles Velazquez: It was closed, on a Saturday, the situation made me sad since I was a tourist, I am from Mexico and I am passionate about the subject of trains, I took advantage and turned towards sixth avenue, it is somewhat close to that area

L L: Unless you are a die hard fan of colonial painting, it is really not worth the money and time. The lighting is very bad, some of the pieces you can hardly see. But there is one saving grace in the form of mural in one of the smaller rooms, it depicts the process of getting a doctoral degree during the pontifical college era.
Karen Sicajá Rustrián: You breathe the past...
Pablo Estrada: It seems to me the best museum in Antigua. It has audio guides and free admission. The exhibitions are well executed and good signs. It has toilets along the route. I would have liked to take more advantage of the place but time did not help me.Recommended.
Robert Chomicz: Museum of colonial art located in one of the oldest university buildings in all of the Americas. Mostly paintings and statues. The best part of the experience may be the building itself. Price of admission is 70 Q which is fairly steep.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
St Mary Newington: Half the rooms were closed and those that were open were very badly lit with no explanation and not many labels. Beatriz Espat: This museum has been around for a while, not quite sure but it was either shut down for remodeling before or during covid 19. Once restrictions were lifted it took a bit to reopen but it was so worth it! What was a dull museum with interesting artifacts is now a glorious hands on, interactive showcase that tells a story. The staff is outrageously experienced and probably 100% new to the job. The manager that was working prior to covid was terrible. If she is still there maybe she went on to refresher courses... Anyway the place is AWESOME, great for all ages. A good first museum for elementary school children. Keep up the good work Miraflores.

MOTTOS GT94: A wonderful place, to be able to give you an afternoon full of experience
David Cruz: The museum is very nice with a very attractive facade at night
